Young Voices in Heritage™

Our Flagship Initiative

Young people recording heritage interviews as part of Young Voices in Heritage initiative

Our Innovative Approach

Young Voices in Heritage™ has produced documented outcomes since November 2024, working with young people aged 10-16 alongside heritage organisations and community partners.

The initiative creates an informal learning environment that supports intergenerational connection, with creative media bringing community heritage to life.

What Participants Experience

Participants work with broadcast-quality equipment to create content they are genuinely proud to share. This is not amateur documentation. It is professional-standard media creation that demonstrates real transferable skills.

Sessions are designed to support a wide range of participants, including those with additional needs. Our facilitators are experienced in creating welcoming environments where confidence builds at each participant's pace.

Professional recognition from Museum of London Archaeology validates our evidence-based approach, with participants' work featured on their professional blog. Read Our Success Story

  • Professional recognition of their achievements

  • Clear progression pathway with one participant already advancing to volunteer contributor role

Our work has attracted interest from heritage organisations and public services based on the outcomes we have evidenced. Participants build skills progressively, working through structured creative media development and culminating in real-world field experiences with heritage partners.
