Community co-production creating genuine impact
We co-produce media content with communities and organisations across Devon. Whether you're a heritage centre needing exhibition content, a charity wanting to document impact, a public or commercial service looking to engage communities authentically, we bring professional production standards to collaborative projects that respect community voice.
Our facilitation guides communities telling their own stories through professional media production, skills workshops, as well as heritage preservation support.
We deliver comprehensive community media services across three integrated areas. Each service draws on evidence-based methodology developed through systematic research and validated through professional partnerships including Museum of London Archaeology.
What looks like separate services is actually one integrated approach applied across different contexts. When you work with us, you're accessing methodology that's taken 15+ years to develop, not quick fixes or borrowed templates.
We work alongside communities, not for them. Whether documenting stories, developing skills, or preserving heritage, our approach centres on authentic community voice.
Integrated Community Media & Heritage Services
Our Three Service Areas
-
Professional Media Services
Professional audio and video content creation for charities, community groups, public services and businesses who want to reach and engage communities authentically.
We create audio and video content that captures genuine community voice. But more than that, we develop strategic publishing approaches that extend impact far beyond original recordings. From podcasts to documentaries, from soundscapes to social media content - always with purpose, never just for metrics.
Built on 15+ years of experience working with charities, heritage organisations, and community groups, we've learnt that authentic engagement requires more than technical skills. It requires creating conditions where people feel genuinely heard.
Whether you're documenting service user experiences, creating promotional content with authentic voices, or building community engagement through storytelling projects, we reduce the challenge of creating and managing meaningful digital content.
Particularly suited for: Charities documenting impact, community groups preserving local stories, public services engaging hard-to-reach communities, wellbeing initiatives using creative expression. Organisations requiring professional content with authentic community connection.

-
Community Programmes & Workshops
Evidence-based programmes creating confidence, skills, and progression pathways.
Young Voices in Heritage™ has proven that young people can transform from nervous beginners to confident heritage documentarians. Our workshops don't just teach skills - they create pathways from participant to volunteer to employment.
It took three years to work out the quite particular conditions required. Now we know why young people who couldn't speak in class are suddenly interviewing archaeologists. Parents describe their amazement at transformations they witness.
The young people who complete this journey chose to call themselves "The ACE Team" - which tells you everything about how they feel about their achievements.
Perfect for: Young people seeking creative opportunities, organisations requiring youth engagement, communities wanting to preserve their heritage through fresh voices.

-
Heritage Co-production and Project Management
Working with heritage organisations, museums, and community groups to create interactive exhibits, digital archives, and interpretive content through genuine community collaboration.
We work alongside communities to preserve their stories, not imposing external narratives but facilitating what matters locally. From oral histories to exhibit development, from content curation to project management - always community-led, never top-down.
When communities lead their own heritage preservation, something remarkable happens. Stories that might never have been shared emerge naturally. People who've never felt comfortable being recorded suddenly want to contribute. Young people discover connections to their heritage they didn't know existed.
We're currently developing expertise in heritage exhibit enhancement, exploring how digital content can thoughtfully integrate into physical spaces.
Perfect for: Heritage organisations, museums, community groups, and local authorities developing heritage preservation projects.

Our Approach
One Methodology, Multiple Applications
Each service draws on the same validated methodology. This creates remarkable efficiency for organisations commissioning multiple elements:
A heritage project might include youth workshops documenting stories
Professional media production could involve community participants
Workshop participants might contribute to heritage exhibitions
Content created in one area enhances other services
It's not about bundling services - it's about methodology that naturally creates connections.
Evidence-Based Development
15 Years of Research Applied directly through community media work and experimental podcasting in 2022 to validated methodology in 2025
Professional Validation Museum of London Archaeology collaboration confirms effectiveness
Academic Recognition TAG2025 Conference presentation at University of York
Measurable Impact 100% confidence improvement, employment pathways created, heritage preserved
Community-Centred Always
We work alongside communities, not for them. This subtle difference changes everything:
Communities identify their own priorities
Participants develop at their own pace
Content reflects authentic voice
Ownership remains with community
Progress is non-linear and organic
What Makes Us Different
Audio-First Methodology
We discovered removing cameras creates psychological safety. People open up differently when not being watched. This insight, developed through youth work, transforms all our services.
Strategic Not Scattered
We maintain high standards for what we publish publicly. Content is released strategically and with deep consideration - we don't splatter channels with precious community material. Every piece is purposefully placed, thoughtfully curated.
Real Progression Pathways
From workshop participant to volunteer to paid employment - we've proven these pathways work. Our own team includes people who started as participants. One young person is already progressing from attendee to volunteer, moving toward employment.
Depth Not Surface
15 years of research into collaborative learning, refined through community practice since 2022 means we understand the nuances others miss. The quite particular conditions required. The patience authentic engagement demands. This isn't work you can rush.

The Bottom Line
We've spent years working out how to create the right conditions for authentic community engagement. We've validated our approach through professional partnerships. We've proven impact through documented outcomes.
We're ready to support your community's voice, your organisation's engagement, your heritage preservation.
Because when people find their authentic voice, when communities preserve their stories, when young people discover their capabilities - everything changes.
Lives change when people realise they're not alone. When they hear stories that resonate with their own experience. When they discover capacities they didn't know they had.
That's what drives this work.
