Young Voices in Heritage™
Transforming young lives while preserving local heritage
Young Voices In Heritage™
Audio-First Methodology for Community Heritage Preservation
Young Voices In Heritage™ is an evidence-based methodology developed through three years of systematic research (2022-2025) that transforms young people into confident heritage documentarians.
The Challenge We Address: Post-pandemic gaps where efforts to engage younger generations in heritage often fall short, whilst older knowledge holders remain hesitant about formal recording processes.
Our Solution: This audio-first approach creates psychological safety enabling authentic intergenerational storytelling. Young interviewers reduce anxiety in older participants, preserving voices that might otherwise remain unheard.
Research Foundation: Building on cross-generational podcasting investigations demonstrating wellbeing benefits of intergenerational interaction, participants progress through structured development from audio art foundations to heritage fieldwork experience.
Professional recognition from Museum of London Archaeology validates our evidence-based approach, with participants' work featured on their professional blog. Read Our Success Story

We are the originators of Young Voices in Heritage™ - our innovative approach combining audio art skills with heritage documentation.
We create meaningful pathways from participant to volunteer to employment, whilst preserving local heritage through young voices.
Developed by Ace Holds The Space Group
Young Voices in Heritage™ follows our unique three-stage methodology. Participants begin with audio art skills, progress to podcasting and digital storytelling, then apply their abilities in real-world field experiences with heritage organisations.
Our approach has attracted attention from local heritage-based organisations and public services, with enquiries coming in based on the outcomes from our preliminary sessions.
“The young people were the crucial key component that made the event so interesting.”
